Sugar Skull - Day of the Dead - Spiral Notebook
The cover of this Day of the Dead themed spiral notebook features artwork depicting a colorful Sugar Skull or Calavera. These are associated with the Mexican celebration that takes places around Nov 1st and 2nd (although it varies a bit by region). There' s differing opinion over whether Dia de Los Muertos is an Indigenous celebration that was adapted or whether it's a Spanish one that evolved in Mexico. But either way it came into its current form in Mexico so it is a local product regardless. I've visited some of the colorful Mexican cemeteries but as of yet have not managed to attend Day of the Dead. Still as you can tell from the art on this notebook cover, I'm fascinated by it!
